Inspired by Paprika - No. 4

While creating the color palette for the 2017 release of the Signature Envelope, I surrounded myself with images and paper samples for months. Instead of letting everything live on Pinterest, I actually had photos printed and taped them up on my wall - Pinterest in real life. The colors of the Collection are meant to be tangible and interacted with, paired with outfits, styled on your desk, and mailed to a person who reminds you of that hue. So it only made sense for the color selection to evolve in a very tangible way.

Paprika holds an important space in the palette. Red has always been a favorite color of mine - red tones are fiery and strong, sensual and provocative. The best accessory is a matte red lipstick. For me it came down to picking the right shade of red.  Would it be a purple red or an orange red? How would it interact with the other colors in the Collection? In keeping with my desire to have the colors be natural but striking at the same moment, this Paprika shade started to stand out.
Above are some of the images I considered while narrowing my selection for Paprika.
