Our Favorites | The Curated Life

Today our lovely friend Kelsey Zahn featured our work on her blog, The Curated Life, to celebrate National Letter Writing Month. We couldn't agree more with her words on the meaning of mail, the art of tradition, and paying it forward! As she puts it, "There is nothing better than opening your post box to find a hand written letter from a friend or family member; the very fact that there is a piece of mail in there that is NOT a bill, ad, credit card offer or some other piece of fodder bound for the recycle bin is magical."

We are so honored by her post and highly recommend you take a chance to read it, as well as the rest of her lifestyle blog. In the mean time, pick up your pens and get writing.

Working With Our Favorites

Before the holiday craziness set in, we had the opportunity to create some lovely paper goodies for a workshop for Darling Magazine and one of our favorite Art's District coffee spots, Blacktop Coffee. We designed some note pages and a take-home poster detailing all the different sorts of coffee drinks.  We were asked to design them in a Bauhaus modern style. This meant minimalism, simple geometric shapes, and a san serif font. You'll see below that this made it really easy to express how much milk or coffee is in a particular beverage. It was really fun to experiment with this concept and we were thrilled, as were the workshop participants, with the finished product.

If you've ever been to Blacktop or it's parent company, Wurtkuche, just down the street, you might have received one of these free drink cards. They were also letterpress printed by yours truly!

Mmmm delicious coffee!
